Power Generation
Recognizing the need for this most important type of infrastructure, "Water & Power Engineering Group" established a strategic partnership with "Faremco International" In 2013, to undertake Electrical Infrastructure projects in the Middle East/North Africa Region. The following represents the Main Scope of activities:
A -Design, supply, installation, commissioning & maintenance |
1-Power plant (1 MW up to 40 MW) |
2-Substations |
3-Transmission Lines |
4-City Network Distribution |
5-Compounds for Governments / Oil Companies /Armed Forces |

Power plant (1 MW up to 40 MW) Diesel generating plants have an important role in power plant. Diesel power station (also known as Stand-by power station) uses a diesel engine as prime mover for the generation of electrical energy. This power station is generally compact and thus can be located where it is actually required. This kind of power station can be used to produce limited amounts of electrical energy. In most countries these power stations are used as emergency supply stations. Operation: The diesel burns inside the engine and the combustion process causes rotational mechanical energy that turns the engine shaft and drives the alternator. The alternator in turn converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. This type of electricity generating power station will probably be used a long time into the future, due to a need for reliable stand-by electrical source for emergency situations. A various tests are conducted during commissioning and maintenance to ensure proper and long term operation of diesel power plant. |
